Meet Mrs. Langer

Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Ashlee Langer and I am the Title 1 Instructional Support Teacher/Reading Specialist at McAuliffe Heights @ Irving Elementary School. My job is to instruct below level readers using an intervention program, hold monthly parent and family engagement (formerly parent involvement) events and to support the teachers in reading instruction. I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-6 with a minor in Special Education from Penn State University and my Master's in Education degree in Reading with a Reading Specialist Certification from Gannon University. Prior to teaching at Altoona, I taught Pre-k and 1st and 2nd grade at St. John the Evangelist School in Lakemont. I started with the Altoona Area School District in February of 2016 and have taught at McAuliffe Heights and Juniata elementary schools.
