Welcome from Mrs. Gray, Principal

I am honored to serve as the principal of McAuliffe Heights at Irving Elementary School and to be part of such a wonderful community. I bring 16 years of experience in education, having worn many hats along the way. From teaching ESL, PE and Health, and 6th grade math, to spending several years as a 7th and 8th grade teacher at a project-based learning school in State College. That experience taught me that students learn best when they are engaged, challenged, and given the freedom to discover who they are. I stepped away from the classroom to pursue a PhD in Educational Leadership full time, but honestly, I missed the energy of K-12 too much to stay away, so I returned as an administrator and have not looked back.

My heart for this work is simple: I want MHI to be a place where every student feels safe, seen, and valued. A place where children not only grow academically but discover their strengths, their voice, and their purpose. Most importantly, I want us to equip every student with the skills and character they need to thrive wherever life takes them next.

It is a privilege to serve this community and I look forward to partnering with you to make MHI an extraordinary place for every child.
