All About Mrs. Cutshall
Hello - I'm Mrs. Cutshall, one of MHI's Learning Support Teachers! I love working with the students here at McAuliffe Heights. We will be using a variety of interventions this year, including the Wilson Reading System, Fundations, and Number Worlds, to help our students achieve their full potential. I believe that our small group approach and personal relationship with each student can make a huge impact in each student's life and academic acheivement.
I graduated from Juniata College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, and from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a M.Ed. in Special Education. I have been teaching since 1996, and have taught Head Start, Infant/Toddler Early Intervention, Preschool Early Intervention, and Learning Support. I have been with the AASD since 1999. My professional development training over the years has had an extensive focus on child development, developmentally appropriate practice and parent involvement. I have completed my Level I certification in the Wilson Reading System for dyslexic students, and am a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner.
I am married and my husband and I are celebrating our 27th anniversary this year. We enjoy playing with our golden retriever Thomas, as well as hiking, kayaking, and traveling. We have two grown children. I love to read, practice yoga, crochet, and draw in my spare time. At MHI, I am the Lego Club advisor and love to help out wherever I am needed!
